Lord President of the United States of America, with the heartfelt intention to create a precedent for future relations between our two countries, his power of about three hundred million people, and ours, a small island of only eleven million people with a common history marked by conflict of interest that could only benefit the most powerful of the two, at the expense of a humble, peace loving, supportive and eager to strengthen ties of friendship that same turbulent history have been prevented, fueled by the irrational and opportunistic position of power groups, both there and here, I've never had a moral obligation to write to you, a person who has shown what he has missed any of his predecessors as head of the most powerful nation on earth, intelligence and common sense, to say that a large majority of our people want the uprising by his government commercial and financial embargo at this time only serves to perpetuate the power to them that you tried to starve and overthrow all kinds of escaséese.
The embargo is a perfect excuse for dictatorship, may not realize their analysts, its politicians, may not have thought that the best way to establish democracy in our country is through the continuous flow of ideas and cultural exchanges where the final will prevail common sense of our people.
For its part, the Cuban regime is determined to require the cessation of the embargo or blockade as they call it, but there is nothing but an attempt to create confusion in public opinion with the declared goal of attracting at its macabre attempt to make see you as the only responsible for our situation. If this is not the most ideal way to, as a representative a party of opposition to dictatorship and a member of the incipient Cuban civil society, claiming what I consider a right, then tell me what may be the means by which you can make the government understand that you represent our concerns, which as you said at the beginning stamped a precedent for possible future relations between our peoples and governments.
I need not expose the violations of international vitiating the government nor the political and moral cost to the eyes of the world is its powerful nation, creating a boomerang that will not ultimately beneficial to his country or the our taking into account the consequence of this attitude can be derived.
Dear Mr. President, Cubans of good will and peace-loving you are encouraged to proceed with common sense and as we fight for the lifting of the cruel and unjust measure, confident that with this action would be taking a step firm to meet the desired freedom and democracy for our people.
I repeat to you sir illustrious any foreign measure is the appropriate way to submit to a government clinging to power, all run up against a host of explanations, drills disinformation, slander by this despotic regime, I think the solution is in here, we Cubans we have to decide what to do about it, fighting as usual in a peaceful manner against the tyrant that oppresses us, sure, using the executioner's own words that "no force in the world capable of crushing the strength of truth and ideas,''so Mr. President, I ask once again to use his intelligence and remove that and see how far away the reasons that have kept us slave for half a century of communism.
