Artemis, February 15, 2011 - The political prisoner Carlos Martín Gómez, continuous planted more than a year, refused to wear the clothes of prisoners and demanding improvements prison regime. Martín Gómez, held at the detachment 47 of the maximum security prison Combinado del Este, located in the country's capital, refuses to qualifying as "system of education" imposed by the Cuban Government.
On Thursday February 10 he was allowed a family visit, attended by her sister Sabina Martín Gómez, Dama de Blanco and Commissioner of Education of the Municipality of Artemisia Opposition. She was notified of the visit by telephone by the Security Officer of the State who calls himself as Tony and Sabina is the one who cares for her brother and other political prisoners in the facility.
For his commendable attitude to Charles Martin for several months was not allowed visits, so this was an unofficial visit to check the status of health, said Sabina, who was very concerned about the deplorable state of health of his brother, who is not any good. His brother was sentenced to 30 years in prison has to undergo surgery and it has been suspended several times unknown causes, argued Sabina.
"Carlos has not stopped eating, he is planted in their resistance to wear the prison uniform common from this point is that it makes its demands, but is capable of a moment another fasting or prolonged strike, which may worsen your health, so blamed the Cuban government of what can happen to your brother, "concluded his sister.
